Bireuen Aceh, Indonesia. In many humble places, there are children who come every day to learn how to read the Qur’an. They sit patiently, spelling out each letter and memorising verse after verse with sincere and devoted hearts.
Some of them learn in very limited circumstances. There are those who must take turns sharing a single copy of the Qur’an, while others read from pages that have become worn with age. Yet these limitations never diminish their spirit to learn and draw closer to the words of Allah.
For them, the Qur’an is not merely a holy book.
The Qur’an is a light that guides their lives, directs their steps, and instils the values of goodness from an early age.
Imagine a child opening a copy of the Qur’an that you helped provide. The child reads each letter with hope and devotion. Every verse they recite and every prayer they whisper, Insha’Allah, becomes a reward that continues to flow for those who helped make it possible.
Sometimes, a small act of kindness in our eyes becomes something profoundly meaningful for those who receive it.
Through the zakat and compassion we offer, we are not only helping children learn the Qur’an today, but also planting the light of knowledge and faith for future generations.
Let us fulfil our zakat and extend our compassion with sincere hearts.
May every letter of the Qur’an that they read become a continuing charity whose reward flows for a lifetime.
