DETAILS OF AGRICULTURAL PRODUCTION INPUT REQUIREMENTS

(35-Hectare Land Management Programme)

EXECUTIVE SUMMARY

This programme has been developed by Relawan Peduli Rakyat Lintas Batas to support the recovery and revitalisation of agricultural livelihoods among communities affected by floods, landslides, and mud disasters in Gampong Ulee Ceu, Jangka Subdistrict, Bireuen Regency, Aceh.

The disaster has caused substantial disruption to farming systems, resulting in land degradation, declining agricultural productivity, and significant loss of income among local farmers. In response, this initiative prioritises the provision of essential agricultural inputs, including maize seeds, fertilisers, insecticides, and operational equipment, aimed at restoring agricultural functionality and strengthening community resilience.

This programme is aligned with broader strategic efforts to promote sustainable rural development, enhance food security, and accelerate economic recovery in disaster-affected regions.

Its successful implementation is expected to significantly improve agricultural output, restore livelihoods, and contribute to long-term socio-economic stability and resilience within the community.

A. INTRODUCTION

This document serves as a comprehensive planning framework for the provision of agricultural production inputs, designed to support the accelerated recovery of communities affected by floods, landslides, and mud disasters in Gampong Ulee Ceu, Jangka Subdistrict, Bireuen Regency.

The impact of the disaster on the agricultural sector has been profound, encompassing land damage, reduced productivity, and disruption to primary sources of livelihood. These challenges necessitate structured, targeted, and measurable interventions through the provision of agricultural inputs to restore land functionality, enhance productivity, and improve farmers’ welfare in a sustainable manner.

B. GENERAL DATA

Number of Farmer Groups: 6 Groups

Number of Members: 223 Persons

Land Area: 35 Hectares

C. MAIZE SEED REQUIREMENTS (3 KG PER PERSON)

Requirement per person: 3 kg

Total requirement: 223 × 3 kg = 669 kg

Total maize seed requirement: 669 kg

Breakdown per group:

Approximately 37 persons per group

Requirement: approximately 111 kg per group

Breakdown per hectare:

669 kg ÷ 35 hectares ≈ 19 kg per hectare

D. INSECTICIDE REQUIREMENTS

Standard usage: 1 litre per hectare per application

Application frequency: 2 applications

Calculation:

35 hectares × 1 litre = 35 litres

35 litres × 2 applications = 70 litres

Total insecticide requirement: 70 litres

Breakdown per group:

Approximately 12 litres per group

E. FERTILISER REQUIREMENTS

Base fertiliser:

NPK (Phonska): 8,750 kg

Urea: 7,000 kg

SP-36: 3,500 kg

Supplementary fertiliser:

Additional Urea: 3,500 kg

KCl: 2,625 kg

Total fertiliser requirement:

NPK: 8,750 kg

Urea: 10,500 kg

SP-36: 3,500 kg

KCl: 2,625 kg

Breakdown per group:

NPK: approximately 1,458 kg

Urea: approximately 1,750 kg

SP-36: approximately 583 kg

KCl: approximately 438 kg

F. EQUIPMENT REQUIREMENTS

Knapsack sprayers:

3 units per group × 6 groups = 18 units

Two-way radios:

1 unit per group × 6 groups = 6 units

G. OVERALL SUMMARY

Maize seed: 669 kg

Insecticide: 70 litres

NPK fertiliser: 8,750 kg

Urea fertiliser: 10,500 kg

SP-36 fertiliser: 3,500 kg

KCl fertiliser: 2,625 kg

Knapsack sprayers: 18 units

Two-way radios: 6 units

H. CONCLUSION
